Donn Morrison joins the Clique Research Group at DERI, Galway

Welcome to Donn Morrison, who has just started as a post-doctoral researcher in DERI and will work on the Clique and ROBUST projects.

Donn received a BSc in Computer Science in 2000 at the University of Victoria, Victoria, British Columbia and a MSc in Computer Science in 2005 at Massey University, Palmerston North, New Zealand. In 2011 he completed his PhD at the University of Geneva, Geneva, Switzerland. His thesis was entitled "Latent variable modelling of user interaction in image retrieval". His research interests are unsupervised machine learning techniques such as latent variable and topic models, user modelling, and collaborative filtering in information retrieval.
